As we move into the colder months, please be advised that Minneapolis Meditation Group services will be cancelled if a severe weather warning is issued by the National Weather Service that includes our church area (the city of Minneapolis or Hennepin County), within a window of two hours prior to a scheduled service to two hours after a scheduled service.
This year the Minneapolis Meditation group will again partner with Perspectives in St. Louis Park as a Christmas giving initiative. The donations will be used to buy Christmas presents for children whose mothers are in recovery. If you would like to donate, please make a check out to Minneapolis Meditation Group and write “Perspectives” in the memo section. Thank you for your generosity.
The all-day Christmas meditation is Saturday, December 14, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Energization exercises will be practiced at 9 a.m. Our guru said, “to meditate and prepare your mind for the holy occasion of Christmas, that you may experience within yourself the birth of a new consciousness of universal brotherhood and love for all living creatures, is to really celebrate Christmas.” He often predicted that the practice of holding an all-day Christmas meditation would spread throughout the world. Devotees planning to attend only part of the service should plan to attend in the morning and leave during the midday break. If you have a cough, please tune in with the group from home so as not to disturb others. Please bring a fruit and a donation in a white envelope to this event.
The Lessons Reading Group meets every Wednesday from 7:30-8:30 p.m. with group practice of energization exercises at 7. We are currently reading from Lesson 10.
