Minneapolis Meditation Group of Self-Realization Fellowship
The Minneapolis Meditation Group will conduct a Weekend Retreat at the Assisi Heights Spirituality Center in Rochester, MN during the weekend of June 15—17, 2018.
Please note that our regular weekend services in Minneapolis will still be held. In order to participate in the retreat you must be registered, but registration is now closed.
Things to Consider during the Retreat
- We will have about 25 to 30 devotees attending.
- The retreat is a SILENT retreat. Once we kick-off on Friday evening, please maintain silence till lunch time on Sunday.
- Please bring your cushions and arm-rests. We will have some available from our center.
- Please plan to arrive at the Assisi Center by 6 p.m. so that you can have dinner with other devotees.
- Everyone who has registered should have received all this information, including a retreat schedule. We place it here for those who have not access the information.

Please plan to arrive at the center between 5 and 6 p.m. When you check in, the welcome committee will be there to assist you and guide you to your pre-assigned rooms.
Compassion and Inclusion is the theme the committee has picked for the retreat. All you need to do is focus on these elements as you meditate.
Guruji’s Favorite Quote
On Saturday evening, prior to the long meditation session, you will be asked to read your favorite quote from Master. Please come prepared with a quote. This is a voluntary activity.
If you need a ride to Rochester, please plan to be at the Minneapolis Chapel around 2 p.m. on Friday. We will have 3 or 4 cars leaving the center around 2:30 p.m. We will have enough room.

This was a one-day silent retreat at our church which included group practice of the energization exercises, periods of meditation, inspirational readings, chanting and kirtan. In the afternoon, we watched an SRF DVD entitled “Awakening Devotion: The Yearning of the Heart that Takes You To God” by Brother Anandamoy. We concluded our day of devotion with a social dinner of catered Indian food.
